Alishan Forest Railway 阿里山森林鐵路(Ālǐ shān sēnlín tiělù):
After the Treaty of Shimonoseki was established and Japan took over Taiwan, Japan discovered Alishan and started logging. They built this railway to be able to transport resources up and down the mountain. Apparently, this railway is kind of an engineering miracle (the mountain was steep)!
Alishan 阿里山:
We walked around Alishan. Here are some group pictures!
Alishan Scenery 阿里山風景:
Beautiful. Alishan mountain scenery strangely reminded me of Japan.
Alishan Sunrise 阿里山日出:
We woke up at an ungodly hour to watch the sunrise, WORTH IT!!!!
